Problem

A thermocouple's output is tabulated at three temperatures: 0.000 mV0.000\,\mathrm{mV} at 0∘C0^\circ\mathrm{C}, 4.096 mV4.096\,\mathrm{mV} at 100∘C100^\circ\mathrm{C}, and 8.138 mV8.138\,\mathrm{mV} at 200∘C200^\circ\mathrm{C}. Construct the degree-two Lagrange interpolating polynomial through these three points and use it to estimate the output at 150∘C150^\circ\mathrm{C}.
