Computational Physics, Ch When trajectories separate: the driven pendulum and the logistic map

Problem

For the logistic map xn+1=rxn(1−xn)x_{n+1} = r x_n(1-x_n) at r=3.3r = 3.3, starting from x0=0.4x_0 = 0.4, iterate the map enough times (at least 3030 iterations) for the transient to die away. Report the two values of the resulting period-2 cycle to four decimal places, larger value first, and verify that applying the map once to the larger value gives the smaller one to the same precision.
