Problem

Aluminium melts at 933.5 K933.5\,\mathrm{K}. Using the rule found in Section 1.1, that Ecoh/kBTmE_{\rm coh}/k_BT_m is near 3030 for four of the five solids it examined, estimate aluminium's cohesive energy per atom. The measured value is 3.39 eV3.39\,\mathrm{eV} per atom. How far off is the estimate?
