Problem

A crystal of a small globular protein has an approximately simple cubic lattice, with a cell about 65 A˚65\,\mathrm{\mathring{A}} on a side. Estimate the spacing of its reciprocal lattice points, and say by roughly what factor they are more closely spaced than copper's, whose nearest reciprocal lattice points sit 3.010 A˚−13.010\,\mathrm{\mathring{A}^{-1}} from the origin.
