Problem

Chapter 1 gave the primitive vectors of a body-centred cubic lattice of cube edge aa as a1=a2(−1,1,1)\mathbf{a}_1=\tfrac{a}{2}(-1,1,1), a2=a2(1,−1,1)\mathbf{a}_2=\tfrac{a}{2}(1,-1,1), a3=a2(1,1,−1)\mathbf{a}_3=\tfrac{a}{2}(1,1,-1), with primitive volume a3/2a^3/2. Show that its reciprocal lattice is face-centred cubic, and give the cube edge of that reciprocal lattice.
