Problem

A calorimetry run on lead gives these low-temperature values of CV/TC_V/T in mJ mol−1K−2\mathrm{mJ\,mol^{-1}K^{-2}}. Data: at T=1.0 KT=1.0\,\mathrm{K}, CV/T=1.68C_V/T=1.68; at T=1.5 KT=1.5\,\mathrm{K}, CV/T=3.78C_V/T=3.78; at T=2.0 KT=2.0\,\mathrm{K}, CV/T=6.72C_V/T=6.72. Show that these points lie on a straight line through the origin when plotted against T2T^2, find its slope, and hence find lead's Debye temperature.
