Problem

Germanium's effective densities of states at 300 K300\,\mathrm{K} are Nc=1.04×1019 cm−3N_c=1.04\times10^{19}\,\mathrm{cm^{-3}} and Nv=6.0×1018 cm−3N_v=6.0\times10^{18}\,\mathrm{cm^{-3}}, and its gap is Eg=0.67 eVE_g=0.67\,\mathrm{eV}. Both NcN_c and NvN_v scale as T3/2T^{3/2}, as shown earlier in the chapter. Find germanium's intrinsic carrier density at 350 K350\,\mathrm{K}.
