Problem

A 100 nF100\,\mathrm{nF} capacitor, initially uncharged, is charged through a 47 kΩ47\,\mathrm{k}\Omega resistor from an ideal 5.0 V5.0\,\mathrm{V} battery of negligible internal resistance; the wires have no resistance. ((a)) Find the time constant of the charging circuit, and the time taken for the charge to reach half its final value. ((b)) The charged capacitor is then connected across an ideal coil of self-inductance 25 mH25\,\mathrm{mH} and negligible resistance. Find ω0\omega_0 and ff for the resulting oscillation.
