Problem

Two sinusoidal voltages of the same frequency are displayed together on a twin-trace oscilloscope. The time base is 1.0 ms1.0\,\mathrm{ms} per division and both channels are set to 5.0 V5.0\,\mathrm{V} per division. One complete cycle of either trace occupies 10.010.0 horizontal divisions, and corresponding crests of the two traces are separated horizontally by 1.51.5 divisions. Trace A has its crest 3.03.0 divisions above the zero line. The oscilloscope is ideal and draws no current. ((a)) Find the period and the frequency of the two voltages. ((b)) Find the peak and root-mean-square values of the voltage of trace A. ((c)) Voltage A alone is applied across a resistor of resistance 60 Ω60\,\Omega whose resistance is constant. Find the mean power dissipated. ((d)) Find the phase difference between the two voltages, in degrees and in radians.
