Problem

A signal generator delivers V(t)=12sin⁡(ωt+20∘) VV(t) = 12\sin(\omega t + 20^\circ)\ \mathrm{V}, where ω\omega is its angular frequency, and is connected by wires of zero resistance across an ideal resistor R=150 ΩR = 150\,\Omega. All phases are to be measured against cos⁡ωt\cos\omega t, following this chapter's convention. ((a)) Rewrite V(t)V(t) in the cosine form V0cos⁡(ωt+ϕ)V_0\cos(\omega t + \phi) and give the complex amplitude V~\tilde V in Cartesian form (its real and imaginary parts, in volts). ((b)) Using ZR=RZ_R = R, find the complex amplitude of the current: state its amplitude in mA and its phase against cos⁡ωt\cos\omega t.
