Electronics for Measurement, Ch The resistive network: two laws, one equivalent and the loading error
Problem
A 12V ideal supply with 3Ω lead resistance and a 6V ideal supply with 6Ω lead resistance each have their negative terminal connected to ground. Each positive terminal reaches a single common node through its own lead resistance, and that node is also connected to ground through a 6Ω resistor. Take the common node as the only unknown node and ground as the reference. Define I1 as the current flowing from the 12V supply into the node, I2 as the current flowing from the node into the 6V supply, and I3 as the current flowing from the node to ground.
((a)) Find the node voltage v.
((b)) Find I1, I2 and I3, and check that Kirchhoff's current law holds at the node.
