Electronics for Measurement, Ch The resistive network: two laws, one equivalent and the loading error

Problem

A two-terminal network has terminal AA and a grounded terminal. Two branches run from AA to ground: branch 1 is an ideal 15.0 V15.0\,\mathrm{V} source in series with a 5.0 kΩ5.0\,\mathrm{k}\Omega resistor, and branch 2 is an ideal 9.0 V9.0\,\mathrm{V} source in series with a 15.0 kΩ15.0\,\mathrm{k}\Omega resistor (both sources' positive terminals face towards AA). No other branch is connected at AA. ((a)) Find the open-circuit voltage VthV_{\rm th} at AA with respect to ground. ((b)) Find the short-circuit current between AA and ground, and hence RthR_{\rm th}. ((c)) State the single ideal source and single resistor that replace this network at terminals AA-ground, and check RthR_{\rm th} by the source-suppression rule.
