Problem

A common-emitter stage runs from VCC=12.0 VV_{CC} = 12.0\,\mathrm{V}. At its quiescent point the collector sits at VC=7.0 VV_C = 7.0\,\mathrm{V} and the emitter at VE=2.0 VV_E = 2.0\,\mathrm{V}. Take the transistor's saturation voltage as VCE(sat)=0.2 VV_{CE(\rm sat)} = 0.2\,\mathrm{V} (the boundary of the active region). Find the largest symmetric, unclipped peak swing available at the collector.
