Problem

An analogue squaring circuit used in an rms-to-dc converter produces vo(t)=k vi2(t)v_o(t) = k\,v_i^2(t), with k=1 V−1k = 1\,\mathrm{V^{-1}} (so that vov_o comes out in volts). It is intended to process input signals in the range −2 V-2\,\mathrm{V} to +2 V+2\,\mathrm{V}. ((a)) Decide, using the standard tests, whether this block is linear over the stated input range. ((b)) Decide whether it is time-invariant.
