Problem

A perovskite solar cell at Tc=300 KT_c = 300\,\mathrm{K} has a measured external radiative efficiency ERE=2×10−3\mathrm{ERE} = 2\times10^{-3}, meaning this fraction of all recombination in the cell leaves as emitted light and the rest is non-radiative. Using ΔVoc=(kBTc/e)ln⁡ERE\Delta V_{oc} = (k_BT_c/e)\ln\mathrm{ERE}, compute the voltage lost relative to the radiative (Shockley-Queisser) open-circuit voltage limit.
