Problem
A silver-plating bath operates on the electrode reaction Ag++e−→Ag, with z=1 electron transferred. As the bath is used, the silver-ion concentration falls by a factor of 100. Treating the activity of Ag+ as proportional to its concentration, and taking the bath temperature as 298K, find the shift in the electrode potential caused by this depletion.
