Problem
A neutral particle enters a scattering slab at normal incidence. Each time it would undergo a collision, implicit capture is used: instead of killing the particle with probability 1−ω0 (absorption), the particle is kept with certainty and its statistical weight is multiplied by the albedo ω0 (the scattering probability). For a slab with albedo ω0=0.70, find the weight remaining after 4 collisions and the fraction of the original weight removed by absorption up to that point.
