Problem
A training aircraft of total mass 2400 kg flies straight and level. Its wing planform area is 30 m2. Take g=9.8 m s−2, and assume the whole weight is carried by the pressure difference across the wing, the tail and the shear stress on the surfaces contributing nothing. What average pressure difference between the lower and the upper surface does the wing need?
