Problem

An emitter follower biased at IC=2 mAI_C = 2\,\mathrm{mA} drives an emitter resistor RE=470 ΩR_E = 470\,\Omega directly from a zero-resistance signal source (Rs=0R_s = 0). The transistor has βF=150\beta_F = 150. Work at 300 K300\,\mathrm{K}, where VT=25.9 mVV_T = 25.9\,\mathrm{mV}. ((a)) Find gmg_m and rπr_\pi, and hence the return ratio TT of the controlled source gmvπg_mv_\pi. ((b)) Find the direct transmission dd and, using the asymptotic-gain formula with A∞=1A_\infty = 1, find the closed-loop (voltage) gain of the follower.
