Problem

Four electrical substations A,B,C,DA,B,C,D are linked by high-voltage lines AA-BB, AA-CC, AA-DD, BB-CC, BB-DD; there is no line CC-DD. Treat the network as simple, undirected and unweighted. ((a)) Write the adjacency matrix using the node order A,B,C,DA,B,C,D, and state each node's degree and the mean degree ⟨k⟩\langle k\rangle. ((b)) Give the degree distribution pkp_k and compute the heterogeneity ratio. ((c)) Compute the clustering coefficient CC from triangles and connected triples. ((d)) Use the symmetry A↔BA\leftrightarrow B and C↔DC\leftrightarrow D to find the leading eigenvalue κ1\kappa_1.
