Problem

A uniform coin of mass 7.50 g7.50\,\mathrm{g} and radius a=12.0 mma=12.0\,\mathrm{mm}, treated as a thin disc, spins about an axis perpendicular to its face through a point on its rim. ((a)) Find its moment of inertia about that axis. ((b)) Compare it with the moment of inertia about the parallel axis through the coin's centre, and account for the difference.
