Problem

A resistor R=50 ΩR = 50\,\Omega, a coil Lc=0.20 HL_{\mathrm{c}} = 0.20\,\mathrm{H} and a capacitor C=100 μFC = 100\,\mathrm{\mu F} are connected in series across a supply of peak voltage 20 V20\,\mathrm{V} and frequency 60 Hz60\,\mathrm{Hz}. Treat the components as ideal (no resistance in the coil's winding, no leakage in the capacitor) and use this chapter's e−iωte^{-i\omega t} convention. Find the peak current in the circuit and the angle by which it lags the supply voltage.
