Problem

A tyre pressure gauge is checked with its valve open to the atmosphere, where the true gauge pressure is 0 bar0\,\mathrm{bar}; it displays +0.05 bar+0.05\,\mathrm{bar}. This zero error is constant. The gauge is then connected to a tyre and displays 2.30 bar2.30\,\mathrm{bar}. (a) State the corrected pressure in the tyre.
