Problem

An astronomical refractor has an objective of focal length fo=1200f_o = 1200 mm. Both lenses are thin and the eyepiece is placed so that the telescope is afocal, the star being at infinity and the final image at infinity. ((a)) Find the angular magnification MAM_A, sign included, with an eyepiece of focal length fe=25f_e = 25 mm. ((b)) Jupiter subtends 4040 arcseconds. Through the telescope of part (a), what angle does it subtend, in arcminutes?
