Problem

A short-sighted student can focus clearly on objects out to a far point of 2.50 m2.50\ \text{m} but no further. Using the thin lens equation 1so+1si=1f\dfrac{1}{s_o} + \dfrac{1}{s_i} = \dfrac{1}{f} (real object distances so>0s_o > 0, real image distances si>0s_i > 0 to the right), find the power, in dioptres, of the thin spectacle lens (worn close to the eye) that lets this student see very distant objects clearly.
