Problem

A beam has the Jones vector E=(0.6, 0.8i)\mathbf{E} = (0.6,\ 0.8i), with the axes fixed in the transverse plane along xx and yy. Classify the tip locus of the field (linear, circular or elliptical), state its handedness under the book's convention (CV6), and give the lengths of the semi-axes of the locus.
