Problem

A plano-convex lens of radius of curvature R=2.00R = 2.00 m rests on an optically flat glass plate, and Newton's rings are viewed from above in reflected sodium light (λ=589.3\lambda = 589.3 nm). The observer's aperture only lets them see out to a radius of 10.010.0 mm from the point of contact. Estimate the number of dark rings visible within this radius.
