Problem

A forum post proposes that a neutral kaon K0K^0 could decay as K0→e−+μ+K^0 \to e^- + \mu^+, arguing: "this would go through the weak interaction, and the weak interaction can violate any conservation law, so nothing rules it out." (a) Tabulate charge, baryon number and the three lepton family numbers LeL_e, LμL_\mu, LτL_\tau on both sides of this proposed decay. (b) Say which of these quantities the weak interaction conserves, and whether the proposed decay is allowed.
