Problem
The strange meson K∗(892)0 has JP=1− and decays strongly (in fact almost always) into Kπ, two thirds of the time as K+π−. The kaon, like the pion, is a spin-0 pseudoscalar meson with intrinsic parity P(K)=−1, and P(π)=−1.
((a)) Find the orbital angular momentum L of the K+π− final state.
((b)) Compute the total parity of the final state and state whether the decay is allowed by parity.
