Problem

Two clusters in the electromagnetic calorimeter, with no track pointing to either, are measured at E1=70.0 GeVE_1 = 70.0\,\mathrm{GeV} and E2=60.0 GeVE_2 = 60.0\,\mathrm{GeV}, with an angle of 130.0∘130.0^\circ between their directions. ((a)) Find the reconstructed mass of the pair. ((b)) Each photon energy is measured to 1.51.5 per cent and the angle is taken as exact. Find the uncertainty on the mass, as a standard deviation, and say whether the pair is consistent with a 125 GeV/c2125\,\mathrm{GeV}/c^2 parent.
