Problem

A second particle in the same event leaves the following pattern. (a) No track at all is found in the tracker pointing back to the collision point. (b) A cluster of 60 GeV60\,\mathrm{GeV} is deposited in the electromagnetic calorimeter, starting exactly where an extrapolated straight line from the collision point enters that layer. (c) No energy is deposited in the hadronic calorimeter behind the cluster. (d) No hit is recorded in the muon chambers. Identify the particle, explaining what each observation implies.
