Problem

A laser-compressed deuterium-tritium fuel core, at the moment of peak compression in an inertial-confinement scheme, reaches electron density ne=1.0×1031 m−3n_e = 1.0\times10^{31}\,\mathrm{m^{-3}} at temperature Te=1000 eVT_e = 1000\,\mathrm{eV}. ((a)) Compute the Debye length and the number of particles in a Debye sphere, NDN_D. ((b)) Hence find the coupling parameter Γ\Gamma and state whether this core is weakly or strongly coupled.
