Problem

Standard randomised benchmarking is run on a two-qubit gate. Long control sequences pin the asymptote of the survival probability at B=0.250B = 0.250. Three points from the decay F(m)F(m) against the number mm of two-qubit Cliffords are F(m)=0.704, 0.351, 0.264F(m)=0.704,\,0.351,\,0.264 at m=100, 400, 800m=100,\,400,\,800 respectively. ((a)) Using F(m)−B=ApmF(m) - B = Ap^m, combine the m=100m=100 and m=400m=400 points to find the decay parameter pp. ((b)) Predict F(800)F(800) from your fit and compare it with the tabulated value. ((c)) The two-qubit Clifford averaging has d=4d = 4. Compute the error per Clifford r=(1−p)(d−1)/dr = (1-p)(d-1)/d.
