Problem

Two neighbouring gate-defined silicon spin qubits are coupled by an exchange interaction of strength JJ, with J/h=20 MHzJ/h = 20\,\mathrm{MHz}. Switching on the exchange coupling drives coherent oscillation between the two-spin states ∣01⟩|01\rangle and ∣10⟩|10\rangle with period T=h/JT = h/J. An entangling two-qubit gate (SWAP\sqrt{\mathrm{SWAP}}) is implemented by holding the exchange pulse on for one quarter of this period. ((a)) Find the oscillation period TT. ((b)) Find the gate time for the SWAP\sqrt{\mathrm{SWAP}} operation.
