Problem

A Ramsey interferometer has fringe visibility V=0.8V = 0.8, so P0(φ)=12(1+Vcos⁡φ)P_0(\varphi) = \tfrac{1}{2}(1 + V\cos\varphi) for the probability of measuring ∣0⟩|0\rangle. The sequence is run at the working point φ=π/2\varphi = \pi/2, repeated ν=2500\nu = 2500 times. ((a)) Find the one-shot phase uncertainty Δφ\Delta\varphi at this working point. ((b)) Find the phase uncertainty after all 25002500 shots, treating them as independent.
