Problem

The He+\mathrm{He^+} ion (Z=2Z=2) has a 2p02p_0 state with radial wave function R21∝r e−Zr/2a0R_{21}\propto r\,e^{-Zr/2a_0}, so P(r)∝r4e−Zr/a0.P(r)\propto r^4e^{-Zr/a_0}. ((a)) Find, in terms of a0a_0 and ZZ, the radius at which P(r)P(r) is a maximum. ((b)) Evaluate this radius in nm for He+\mathrm{He^+}.
