Problem

A force is inferred from two independent measurements, F=maF = ma, with m=5.00±0.10 kgm = 5.00 \pm 0.10\,\mathrm{kg} and a=3.00±0.15 m s−2a = 3.00 \pm 0.15\,\mathrm{m\,s^{-2}}, each evaluated Type A from repeated readings on a separate instrument. ((a)) Find FF and its linearly propagated uncertainty uFu_F. ((b)) Compute the first-order sensitivity index of mm and of aa. ((c)) State which quantity should be remeasured more precisely to reduce uFu_F most.
