Problem
A small wedge on the lower wall of a two-dimensional channel turns a stream of air at M1=2.5 (γ=1.4) through an angle θ. Its oblique shock runs across the channel and meets the flat upper wall.
((a)) For θ=12∘, find the incident shock angle β, the Mach number M2 behind it and θmax(M2), and decide whether the reflection is regular. If it is, find the reflected shock's angle to the upper wall and the wall pressure p3/p1 behind it.
((b)) For θ=20∘, find M2 and θmax(M2) and decide again.
