Stars from the Inside, Ch The Sun as a test: calibration, sound, neutrinos and a magnetised atmosphere

Problem

The calibrated standard solar model is built from observed inputs, two calibrated parameters adjusted to reproduce the present Sun, and a set of predictions that are checked afterwards against independent data. For each quantity below, state whether it is (i) an observed input, (ii) a calibrated parameter, or (iii) a prediction of the model. ((a)) The solar mass M⊙M_\odot. ((b)) The meteoritic age of the Sun, 4.57 Gyr4.57\,\mathrm{Gyr}. ((c)) The initial helium mass fraction Y0Y_0. ((d)) The mixing-length parameter αMLT\alpha_{\rm MLT}. ((e)) The depth of the base of the convection zone. ((f)) The total boron-8 neutrino flux.
