Problem

The KˉN\bar KN system (K−K^- or Kˉ0\bar K^0 together with pp or nn) couples two isospin-12\tfrac12 doublets, just as the NNNN system does, giving total isospin I=1I=1 or I=0I=0. Coupling the Kˉ\bar K doublet with the sign appropriate to an antiparticle doublet gives ∣K−p⟩=12∣1,0⟩−12∣0,0⟩,∣Kˉ0n⟩=12∣1,0⟩+12∣0,0⟩,|K^-p\rangle=\frac{1}{\sqrt2}|1,0\rangle-\frac{1}{\sqrt2}|0,0\rangle,\qquad |\bar K^0n\rangle=\frac{1}{\sqrt2}|1,0\rangle+\frac{1}{\sqrt2}|0,0\rangle, where ∣I,I3⟩|I,I_3\rangle labels the total isospin of the KˉN\bar KN pair. The Σ(1775)\Sigma(1775) resonance, which lies above the KˉN\bar KN threshold of 1432 MeV1432\,\mathrm{MeV}, is a pure isospin-1 state; take the isospin-0 amplitude M0M_0 to be negligible at its peak compared with the isospin-1 amplitude M1M_1. Predict the ratio σ(K−p→Kˉ0n)/σ(K−p→K−p)\sigma(K^-p\to\bar K^0n)/\sigma(K^-p\to K^-p) at the Σ(1775)\Sigma(1775) peak.
