Problem

The Σ(1385)\Sigma(1385) is an isospin-1 triplet, Σ∗+\Sigma^{*+}, Σ∗0\Sigma^{*0}, Σ∗−\Sigma^{*-}, and can decay to Σπ\Sigma\pi, where the Σ\Sigma (isospin-1: Σ+,Σ0,Σ−\Sigma^+,\Sigma^0,\Sigma^-) and the pion (isospin-1) are each isospin-1 multiplets. Restrict attention to the Σπ\Sigma\pi decays of Σ∗+\Sigma^{*+} alone (ignoring the dominant Λπ\Lambda\pi channel, since Λ\Lambda is an isosinglet and carries no isospin information). Using the SU(2)SU(2) Clebsch-Gordan coefficients for coupling two isospin-1 multiplets to total isospin 1, predict the ratio Γ(Σ∗+→Σ+π0)/Γ(Σ∗+→Σ0π+)\Gamma(\Sigma^{*+}\to\Sigma^+\pi^0)/\Gamma(\Sigma^{*+}\to\Sigma^0\pi^+).
