Problem

A hyperon resonance decays as Ξ∗−→ΛK−\Xi^{*-} \to \Lambda K^-, with the Λ\Lambda and K−K^- emitted in a relative PP-wave, L=1L=1, in the resonance's rest frame. The conventional intrinsic parities are P(Λ)=+1P(\Lambda)=+1 and P(K−)=−1P(K^-)=-1 (the kaon is a pseudoscalar meson, JP=0−J^P=0^-). ((a)) Write the general two-body parity rule that combines intrinsic parities with orbital angular momentum. ((b)) Evaluate the parity of the ΛK−\Lambda K^- final state for this decay.
