Problem

An older combination of top-quark mass measurements gave mt=173.5 GeVm_t = 173.5\,\mathrm{GeV}. Using the leading-order two-body width Γt=GFmt38π2∣Vtb∣2(1−x)2(1+2x),x=mW2mt2,\Gamma_t = \frac{G_F m_t^3}{8\pi\sqrt2}|V_{tb}|^2(1-x)^2(1+2x), \qquad x = \frac{m_W^2}{m_t^2}, with mW=80.4 GeVm_W = 80.4\,\mathrm{GeV} and ∣Vtb∣=1|V_{tb}| = 1, compute Γt\Gamma_t.
