Problem

A hypothetical two-flavour stellar neutrino system has vacuum mixing angle θ\theta with sin⁡2θ=0.329\sin^2\theta = 0.329. As in the Sun, matter effects are negligible for neutrinos produced well below the local MSW resonance energy, and propagation is fully adiabatic for neutrinos produced well above it. ((a)) State and evaluate the electron-neutrino survival probability for a neutrino produced at energy far above the resonance. ((b)) State and evaluate the electron-neutrino survival probability for a neutrino produced at energy far below the resonance.
