Problem

A point charge q=6.0 nCq = 6.0\,\mathrm{nC} is held at height d=4.0 cmd = 4.0\,\mathrm{cm} above a large earthed conducting plane. ((a)) Find the total induced charge lying within a disc of radius s0=4.0 cms_0 = 4.0\,\mathrm{cm} centred on the point directly beneath qq. ((b)) Express this as a fraction of the total induced charge −q-q.
