Problem

A sphere of radius a=5.0 cma = 5.0\,\mathrm{cm} is polarised radially with P(r)=P0(ra)2r^,P0=2.0×10−5 C m−2.\mathbf{P}(r) = P_0\left(\frac{r}{a}\right)^2\hat{\mathbf{r}},\qquad P_0 = 2.0\times10^{-5}\,\mathrm{C\,m^{-2}}. ((a)) Find ρb(r)\rho_b(r) inside the sphere and σb\sigma_b on its surface. ((b)) Find the total bound surface charge and the total bound volume charge, and check that they cancel.
