Problem

A small PTFE (Teflon) bead, radius a=0.30 mma = 0.30\,\mathrm{mm} and εr=2.1\varepsilon_r = 2.1, sits in a uniform field E0=2.0×104 V m−1E_0 = 2.0\times10^{4}\,\mathrm{V\,m^{-1}}, far from any other charge. ((a)) Find the field EinE_{\rm in} inside the bead. ((b)) Find its induced dipole moment pp. ((c)) State, with a one-line reason, the net bound charge on the whole bead.
