The Nucleus Resolved, Ch Gamma decay: multipoles, isomers, internal conversion and the Mossbauer line

Problem

A gamma-decaying level has a measured half-life T1/2=15.0 nsT_{1/2} = 15.0\,\mathrm{ns} and an internal conversion coefficient αIC=3.5\alpha_{\rm IC} = 3.5. Calculate the photon partial decay rate λγ\lambda_\gamma and the photon partial half-life this transition would have if internal conversion were switched off.
