Problem

A thin lens of focal length f=50 mmf = 50\ \mathrm{mm} stands in air (n=1n=1 throughout). A real object is placed so=200 mms_o = 200\ \mathrm{mm} in front of it. ((a)) Using the conjugate condition B=0B=0 for the system matrix between the object and image planes, find the image distance sis_i. ((b)) Read the transverse magnification MTM_T from the matrix element AA, and the angular magnification from the matrix element DD. Verify that AD=1AD = 1.
