What an Instrument Can See, Ch Aberrations: the phase written on the pupil

Problem

A photographic lens images a square grid target. At half the maximum field height (relative field height 0.50.5) and at the maximum field height (relative field height 1.01.0), the image of a single grid point is examined. At both field positions the point stays a sharp point as the aperture stop is opened and closed (its size does not change), but it is displaced from the position paraxial ray tracing predicts: by 12 μm12\ \mu\mathrm{m} at field height 0.50.5 and by 96 μm96\ \mu\mathrm{m} at field height 1.01.0. ((a)) Identify which of the five Seidel aberrations is responsible. ((b)) Show that the two displacements are consistent with that term's known dependence on field height.
